Thomas Leads from Scheffler at Hero World Challenge
Justin Thomas will head into the final round of the Hero World Challenge with a one-shot lead over Scottie Scheffler after shooting a bogey-free six-under 66 on Saturday at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas. Thomas, at 17 under par, holds the lead as he seeks to win his first Hero World Challenge title.
World number one Scheffler, who shot a three-under 69, missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole but is still well within striking distance at 16 under. He will look to capitalize on any opportunities in Sunday’s final round.
Tom Kim Moves Up to Third After Stunning 62
South Korea’s Tom Kim made a remarkable move up the leaderboard, shooting a 10-under 62, the lowest score of the day. Kim had a chance to tie the course record of 61 but suffered a double-bogey at the par-three 17th. Despite this setback, he finished strong with a bunker shot birdie on the last hole and is now just two strokes behind the leader at 15 under.
Keegan Bradley and Robert MacIntyre Stay in Contention
Keegan Bradley, the US Ryder Cup captain, continued his impressive form with a bogey-free 68, placing him four shots off the lead at 13 under. Robert MacIntyre of Scotland shot a 68, moving to nine under, despite a roller-coaster finish that included four birdies and two bogeys on the final six holes.
Aaron Rai’s Struggles
England’s Aaron Rai struggled on Saturday, shooting a 72 and staying at two under par. He is currently joint 14th in the 20-man field heading into the final round.
